Born in Bristol in 1976, Ben's passion for art was clear from childhood — his first artwork was exhibited at the age of six. Encouraged by his family, he studied art at Brunel and Filton Colleges before discovering his true calling at tattoo conventions in 1996.
He began his apprenticeship under the previous studio owner and by 1998 had taken the reins. Together with colleague Steuart Kingsley, Ben built The Tattoo Studio into one of Bristol's most respected destinations for custom ink.
Nearly three decades later, every piece is still designed from scratch — no flash, no shortcuts. Just artistry born from genuine passion and thousands of hours of dedication.

Your new tattoo is a wound. Follow these steps for the best healing results.
Leave the bandage on for 2-4 hours after your session. This protects the fresh tattoo from bacteria and irritation.
Wash with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel — never rub.
Apply a thin layer of recommended aftercare cream 2-3 times daily. Keep the skin hydrated but not smothered.
No swimming, saunas, or prolonged sun exposure for 2-3 weeks. Use sunscreen on healed tattoos forever.
